Kindergarten Prep Curriculum
Your child should know all of these skills before beginning the kindergarten curriculum. If they already know these skills then skip this part.
Objectives: Describe position using top, bottom, in, out, over, under, on top of, off, above, below, beside, outside, and inside.

Objectives: Describe position using first, last, middle, between, front, behind, left and right
Objectives: 1) To identify red, yellow, blue, orange, green, purple, brown, and black colors. 2) To recognize the color words red, yellow, blue, orange, green, purple, brown, and black
Objectives: To compare using small, smaller, smallest, big, bigger, biggest, large, larger and largest
Objectives: To compare using shorter, shortest, taller, tallest, longer and longest
Objectives: 1) To identify a circle, rectangle, square and triangle. 2) To identify and compare the attributes of plane shapes.

Objectives: 1) To sort and classify a set of shapes by one attribute (like by the shape or the size). 2) To sort and classify a set of shapes by more than one attribute. (like sorting by both squares and small shapes.)

Objectives: 1) To identify a sphere, cone, cube, and cylinder. 2) To identify and compare the attributes of solid figures. 3) To match objects to the outlines of their shapes.
Objectives: 1) To recognize symmetry in the environment. 2) To identify shapes with a line of symmetry. 3) To identify matching parts of a symmetrical shape.
Objectives: 1) To identify patterns using color, size, or shape. 2) To complete a pattern. 3) To identify the shape that comes next in a pattern.
Objectives: to identify the object that comes next in a pattern.
